See & Do

Zipolite is the first and former naturalist beach in Mexico. It’s a great place to relax and soak up the sun.

Zipolite Bay is located between four small towns: Puerto Angel, Zipolite, San Agustinillo, and Mazunte. It’s known for its white sand, turquoise waters, laid-back atmosphere, and stunning sunset views.

Mazunte is the largest and most popular town in the region. It has several grocery stores, a basketball court, the Mexican Turtle Center, and the newest part of town, Mermejita, where development is happening constantly. Mazunte also has vegan and vegetarian restaurants, juice stores, bakeries, pharmacies, and natural skincare shops where you can get all types of essences, body scrubs, etc.

Puerto Angel is the second largest town in the area. It has a variety of amenities, including an ATM, a market, and a specialty store where you can shop for delicatessen and imported goods.

Zipolite is known for being the first & former naturalist beach in Mexico, and it has a supermarket, a grocery store, and many coffee shops that grow their own coffee. There are also several laundromats and many restaurants.

San Agustinillo is the smallest of the four beach towns, a charming place with coffee shops, restaurants, a very calm beach, and a delicious pizzeria.

Pochutla is the closest town with a hospital, dentists, a bus station, gas stations, supermarkets, etc. It’s a 30-minute drive to Zipolite and Huatulco and a 90-minute drive to Puerto Escondido. These last two towns have international airports, car rental companies, supermarket chains, etc.
